Reasons behind Procrastination:
- Poor time management or/and
- Fear of failing or/and
- Simply finding the task boring.
Do 1 minute rule>
Never postpone things can be done within 1 minute. Do any task that can be finished in one minute.
Observe 5 more rule:>
If you are tempted to give up on a task, just do 5 more - read 5 more pages, finish 5 more maths problems, works 5 more minutes. Just as athletes build stamina by pushing themselves past the point of exhaustion, you can stetch your attention span too.
Time for task & time for break>
Start with the task you know requires the most concentration. You should be able to focus on this for up to 90 minutes, after which you"ll benefit from a break. Allowing enough time for the task is important bcoz it can take your brain upto 20 minutes to reboot each time you break off and come back.
